Naughty Puritans' Live Performance @ Dosey Doe's of Jackson, inspired by June Carter and Johnny Cash

This week's video is a just a fun one. Jackson is a song I love and have loved playing with my partner. We threw it in at the end of a small live set at Dosey Doe's in Texas, and I decided it was the perfect song to accompany some recent Photos I took at a Classic Car Show.

After last week's song Sex Wars, it is a continuation on the theme of the difficulties we face in pursuit of life Partners. This song is a good one to sing when you need to reignite the passion in your relationship. As well as dispel the Disney programing of how relationships SHOULD be.

In my opinion, many of us need reality checks on our expectations, and I'm here to tell you that even when times get tough, and you want to give up... it's so worth Sticking it out. I do believe keeping it all light hearted is key, cause it's not easy to create a life together. Especially in a society pushing the idea that personal freedoms means following your desires at all costs - like Aleister Crowley's 'Do What Thou Wilt' could ever lead to a happy and fulfilled human being.

We need each other, and for that, we can't be slaves to our own personal desires at every given moment. We can't even be slaves to our emotions.

Instead, we have to master our lower natures and set our sights on the common good, and how we can make meaningful contributions to it. It is only then that you can experience real love, which is what we all really need way more than having ALL our desires fulfilled.

We crave healthy, fulfilled relationships based in a self-less type of love where we can truly commune as one.

Oops -was going to keep it lighthearted. So Let me end by wishing anyone who sees this that they re-set their desires to learn to laugh, forgive and enjoy those willing to ride along with you on this wild ride.

And if you are lonely and alone, I pray for you that you'll be inspired to get out of your comfort zone this very weekend, and set healthy relationships as a top priority for you. No matter how much work and patience they can be!
